It's Nice to Meet You

Posted by Pamela Rappaport on Jun 17, 2009

My name is Pamela Rappaport and I am very excited to have been selected as the Funeral Guru here at LifeTips. I think it is only fair to tell you a little about who I am and why I wanted to be the Funeral Guru.

My career has been varied and I have done everything from supervising truck drivers on an airport ramp to owning an antique business. You probably noticed that I didn't mention anything directly related to funerals. That's because I haven't worked in that field. What I do have is a great deal of life experience.

I have suffered losses and I have survived them. What they have taught me is to not be afraid of death or of discussing the subject of death. My philosophy is that death is part of living. I hope to have an open and ongoing discuss about the subject with you.

If your grief is new and you are searching for the basics of planning a funeral I plan to provide them in straight forward layman's terms. No hype, no sales, just the facts that you need to know.  If you need to send condolences but don't know how to go about it, I'll offer you guidance. For those that want to be in charge of preplanning their own funeral, I will try to help you discover what is available.

I hope my advice and tips from a nonprofessional's point of view will help you. Sometimes the best advice comes from another person just like you. After all, life is really all about helping each other, isn't it?
